Debbi Barber

Debbi Barber, CFRE, is the President of Grizzard Communications Group and leader of Grizzard's Account Services Teams. She provides leadership in the development of innovative solutions and strategic direction for some of the world’s most visionary nonprofit organizations. Now in her 30th year with Grizzard, Debbi plays a critical role, continually refining the agency’s culture and vision to maximize impact and ROI for clients by effectively integrating digital and other multi-media components into their fundraising strategy.

Debbi graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia, where she received an ABJ in Journalism.

Debbi has developed and overseen numerous successful direct marketing initiatives for many of the country’s leading nonprofit organizations, including AARP Foundation, American Red Cross, City of Hope Cancer Center, Project Hope and Prostate Cancer Foundation. In addition, she has managed direct marketing programs for organizations such as Turner Broadcasting and Barclays American Corporation.

She also helped establish Caswell/Zachry/Grizzard, the Dallas-based consulting firm that offers nonprofits a system for integrating an ongoing direct marketing program with their major gifts and planned giving programs.

Debbi is a frequent speaker at Direct Marketing forums across the country. She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals as a Certified Fundraising Executive, Chair of the Industry Partners Committee and is a member of the Direct Marketing Association Nonprofit Federation. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Red Cross, leading the service delivery committee.

Debbi and her husband, Terry, are involved in a variety of mission-related projects including supplying school equipment and provisions for children in Guatemala. They also play a major role in supporting the Buyamba Orphan Outreach in Uganda by working personally with the founder to provide training and supplies, as well as sponsorships and help with fundraising to provide for the education of children orphaned by AIDS and malaria.
