Eric Pratum is Grizzard's Digital Brain. He specializes in social media strategy and analysis, web analytics, and integrated marketing programs and has experience across the for-profit and non-profit worlds prior to his work with Grizzard.
Expertise • Social media, research, analysis, web analytics, and SEO.
Education • MBA - Western Washington University. MA in Germanics – Portland State University. BA in German - Western Washington University.
Life at Grizzard • There are two things that are highly fulfilling a Grizzard: 1) I have the freedom to work on projects based on how and when I feel they need attention without having to fear micro-management or changes coming down from on high. 2) The scope of work we have with our clients is quite amazing. Although, I specialize in social media. I am often asked to brainstorm with groups on far flung marketing topics, which has only improved my understanding of other types of marketing, and that is one of the main reasons I chose to come to Grizzard.
Lesson Learned • There is often more time to plan than anyone of us thinks. Yet, there's very little reason in bursting out of the gates with something only to run out of steam quickly, so let's make sure we do not just plan for today. Let's plan for tomorrow and the next as well.
Behind the scenes • Having studied languages, I was lucky enough to travel and live in Europe twice, stay with friends in Brazil, and take a last minute spontaneous trip to Australia.
Favorite quote • "Good till the last drop." Yeah, it's a corporate slogan, but to me, it says there's always something more to be had, and if we work for it, it might be better than what came before.
